Hands-On History, Beyond the Museum

Holding History provides interactive World Around Us and history sessions based on with a speciality in 20th Century conflicts such as the World Wars and the Home Rule Crisis through to the Troubles. Workshops are also available on Prehistoric Ireland, The Vikings and Medieval Times. Talks are centred around original artefacts from the period, and includes a vast array of deactivated weapons, ordnance, equipment and documents. Most importantly, participants have the opportunity to handle these objects which are usually well beyond reach in museum settings.
